Mr. Tommy James Maddox (aka "Honey and Pete") was born on March 18, 1945 in Putman County, Georgia, to the late Elder Prince Oscar and Eva Maddox. Mr. Maddox went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2018 after an extended illness. Preceding him in death were Two brothers: Herbert Maddox and Oscar Maddox, Jr. One Sister-in-Law: Teresa Maddox. Two Brother-in-Laws: Haywood Easter, Sr., and Reverend Ronnie Collins, Sr.

Mr. Maddox leaves behind his loving Son, Ketwan (Tina) Ramseur of Knoxville, Tennessee, and a beautiful Daughter, Lawanna Maddox of Atlanta, Georgia, Six Grandchildren, and Three Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Maddox also leaves behind to celebrate his life and cherish his memories Five sisters: Rev. Gloria Easter of Lincolnton, NC, Doris (Rev. Roger) Hunter of Charlotte, NC, Hattie Collins of Lincolnton, NC, Rev. Betty (Rev. Dr. Vernon) Stinson of Maiden, NC, and Barbara Maddox of Hickory, NC. Two brothers: Tony and Perry Maddox of Lincolnton, NC. One Sister-in-Law: Elder Mildred Maddox of Iron Station, NC. Three Aunts: Gail King of Detroit, Michigan, Lizzie Jean Danner of Newton, NC, Vickie Farley of Hickory, NC. One Uncle: Troy Farley of Catawba, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

The Maddox family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 1-1:30 pm at Links Chapel AME Zion Church in Iron Station, NC.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:30 pm in the sanctuary at Links Chapel AME Zion Church.  Rev. Roger Lee Hunter, Sr., will be officiating.
