Boyce Whitener, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Boyce Edwin Whitener, Jr., formerly of Maiden, passed away at his residence in Cherryville, NC on December 20, 2020. Boyce was born on March 24, 1939 in Lincoln County to the late Boyce Edwin and Martha Evelyn Hodges Whitener, Sr. Mr. Whitener was a long-time truck driver until his retirement. He worked for many local trucking companies over the years. Boyce was a proud veteran who served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was active in his local VFW.

In addition to his parents, Boyce was preceded in death by two siblings; Phil Whitener and Martha Sue Roberts, and one grandson, Joshua Raines.

Mr. Whitener is survived by his children; Marty Whitener, Shane Whitener, and Evelyn Raines, one brother, Mike Whitener, two sisters; Cathy Duncan and Lynn King, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many other cherished relatives and friends.

The Whitener family is not having services at this time.
