Lemuel Fletcher “Lemdaddy” Poston, age 64, of 806 East Sumner Street, Lincolnton, N.C. passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his residence. Lemuel graduated from Lincolnton High School in 1975. He was an outstanding basketball player. After graduation, he attended Catawba Valley Community College. He worked at Vermont American and All About Solutions before he retired. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and he was a former Trustee and served on the Usher Board. Lemuel was also a Former Past Worshipful Master of Lomax Lodge # 29. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00pm at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden, N.C. The funeral will be on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 4:00pm at Goodin-Drum Funeral home. The Family will be at the home of Dennis Poston, 1433 Meandering Lane, Lincolnton, N.C.
Lemuel leaves to cherish fond memories in the hearts of his wife, Gloria Poston, of Lincolnton, NC, two daughters; Latoya (Joshua) Clark of Stanley, NC, MaQuita (Michael) Hill of Mt. Holly, NC., two brothers; James Poston, Dennis (Beverly)Poston, five sisters; Melba Poston, Jocelyn (Michael) Barber, Avis Poston, Mabel Poston all of Lincolnton, NC, and Altheia (Anthony) Cross of Lawndale, NC.; five grandchildren, Justice Clark, Joshua (Zack) Clark, Zaria Clark, Gayden Hill and Graysen Hill, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends.
Due to COVID 19 everyone is required to wear a mask for the visitation and service.
