Linda Darlene (Stallings) Quickel

Linda Darlene Stallings Quickel, 64 of Maiden passed away on May 31, 2020 at Atrium Medical Center - Lincoln.  Linda was born on October 29, 1955 in Lincoln County to the late Edgar Reeves and Marie Abernathy Stallings. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Lawrence Quickel, and one brother Richard Stallings. 

Linda is survived by one brother, Jerry Stallings and seven nieces and nephews; Joseph Helton, Chris Helton, Tonya Phillips, Amanda Ward, Jennifer Miller, Lisa Peeler, and Greg Stallings, and many other beloved relatives and friends.

She worked as a nurse at Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincolnton for more than 30 years.  Linda was a loving wife, cherished aunt, and mother, not in body, but in spirit to many.  She was an avid reader, especially the Bible.  Linda loved collecting lighthouses and angels.  She was a loving mother to her beloved dogs, Sol and Lucybelle, who were always at her side.

The family will receive friends on Thursday June 4, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden.  A funeral service will follow Thursday June 4, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home  Rev. Michael Staton will be officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church Cemetery in Maiden.
