Pastor Paul Norman Skipper, 87 of Lincolnton passed away on September 10, 2020 at his home. Paul was born on April 28, 1933 to the late Furman Weldon and Nina Jean Searcy Skipper in Polk County, North Carolina. Paul was retired from Mohican Mills where he wore many hats from fabric weaver and machine mechanic to supervisor. He was the pastor of his Victory in Jesus Ministries for many years. He loved his church, his parishioners, and his Lord Jesus Christ. Many people knew Paul from his ministries' show on local television stations. Paul was a very proud veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, Paul was proceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Skipper, one brother, and two sisters. Paul is survived by one son, John Skipper of Lincolnton, three daughters; Jean Reep of Greensboro, Joan Chatman of Lincolnton, and Joy Skipper of Gastonia, nine grandchildren; Shelly Chatman of Holden Beach, Lee Chatman of Lincolnton, Sally Reep of High Point, Stephanie Bryant of Lincolnton, Tiffany Cassell of Lincolnton, Cameron Ervin of Pensacola, FL, Jennifer Reuter of Lincolnton, Karen Skipper of Maiden, and John Skipper of Maiden, twelve great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and many cherished other relatives and friends.
The Skipper family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on September 15, 2020 at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm on September 15, 2020 in the chapel at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn of Lincolnton. Goodin-Drum Funeral Home is serving the Skipper family.
