Raymond Richard Moose

Raymond Richard Moose, 78, of Dick Wilson Road, Denver NC, passed away on April 9 of cancer.

Raymond was a 1959 graduate of Maiden High School and a 1963 graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. He served in the US Army reaching the rank of Captain while in Vietnam, and then he graduated from the School of Law at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1970. He was an avid bridge player and loved to travel and sail.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Jack Woodrow and Lona Mae “Tony” Moose of Maiden and sisters Nancy Cadieu of Newton, NC and Kay Goodson of Monroe, NC. He is survived by daughters Lynne and Matt Sain of Denver, NC and Melissa and David Gemes of Lincolnton, NC, sister Betty Houser of Dallas, NC, brothers Jack and Peggy Moose of Maiden, NC and John and Cindy Moose of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren Hunter Sain, Eddie Gemes and Maddie Gemes, and many neices and nephews.

The family will have a private service. Goodin-Drum of Maiden is serving the Moose family during this time.
