Shirley Mary (Leatherman) Beal

August 23rd, 1919 - October 10th, 2020

Shirley Mary (Leatherman) Beal of Maiden North Carolina, was called to Heaven on October 10th, 2020.  Born Saturday, August 23rd, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Franklin Leatherman (father), and Ida Workman Leatherman (mother) of Lincoln County, NC.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mack R. Beal, sons; Horace A. Beal, Harry E. Beal, and Ted M. Beal, daughters; Syble Beal Lavander, and Linda Beal Rinehardt.
Survivors include daughters; Rachel Beal Hefner of Maiden, Sheila Beal Bias of Valdese, and Sharon Beal Buckner of Statesville, and son, Elvis R. Beal of Maiden.  Shirley was grandmother to 52 grandchildren, and 54 great grandchildren. 

Services for Shirley will be held at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden, NC.
The viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm on
Wednesday, October 14th at the funeral home. Graveside service following the funeral will be at Lawing's 

Chapel Baptist Church, on East Maiden Rd, Maiden, NC.  Pastor Jason Canipe of
Lawing's Chapel will be officiating.

Shirley will be loved and missed dearly, and remain forever in our heart's.
