Ruth, and Terrell, and others,
We are saddened to share your loss. Howard Bumgarner was a name that we grew up with, and like so many others of our time,...Bob Cook, Lester Keever, Doc Laney, and Ralph Coulter, to name a few, are no longer with us. They were the kind of men that we looked up to and were an example of who boys should grow up to be like. The last time I spoke to Howard was at the store. We were outside and watching people go inside. He said, "Some of these people looked like they crawled out of a hole." I had to agree. Something is missing, nowadays. I'm sure it's the qualities men like Howard had.

My Deepest Sympathy. Losing someone we love is so difficult. Please find comfort in knowing you have family and friends that are thinking of you, praying for you. You have precious memories you can recall and then share them with family and friends, that really helps keep Mr. Howard close to you. You also have God who knows what has happened, and is not far off from you. God invites you to, "throw your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1Peter 5:7) Surely you can see, God does not want you to sit alone and suffer, he wants you to lean on him for help, for comfort, and strength. I hope these words have been comforting to you, and they give you the strengthen you need to make it through this very difficult time.
