Lillian Mable Waldrop, 84, of Lincolnton passed away January 28, 2017 at CMC-Lincoln, She was born on September 28, 1932 in Marion, NC to the late Clarence and Florence Bryant Propst. Lillian worked as a spinner/winder in the textile industry for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Junior Waldrop, one son, Vernon Waldrop, and one daughter, Darlene W. Coleman.
Lillian is survived by four sons; Jackie Waldrop of Hickory, Rickey Waldrop of Maiden, Eddie Waldrop of Melbourne, Florida, Timothy Waldrop of Lincolnton, two daughters; Doris W. Henderson of Lincolnton, and Brenda Boyles of Iron Station, twelve grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other cherished relatives and friends.
The Waldrop family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Goodin-Drum Funeral Home. Pastor Matthew Sparks will officiate. Interment will follow in the Maiden City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners' Childrens Hospital. Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden is serving the Waldrop family.
